Swedish biometric firms Fingerprint Cards and Precise Biometrics have partnered on a fingerprint sensor deployment on Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi's new model.FPC has provided its FPC1035 touch fingerprint sensor to the Red Mi Note 3, the company revealed.Meanwhile, Precise Biometrics' Precise BioMatch Mobile software has been integrated into the product.Jörgen Lantto, CEO of FPC, said: “Xiaomi is a leading global smartphone manufacturer and we are proud that Xiaomi selected FPC1035 for Red Mi Note 3, its first smartphone integrating a touch fingerprint sensor. FPC1035 supports 360 degree finger rotation capability, fast response time and industry leading 3D image quality”.Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics, added: “Xiaomi is a fast growing company that has become one of three largest Android smartphone brands in the world.
