Security firm SensibleVision has launched a solution that the company says will help enterprise users and consumers securely access mobile phones, apps, tablets, and computers.Called Autodentity, the solution uses face recognition via selfie enrolment, with users then able to add a second authentication factor chosen by the retailer to re-access sites. In a statement, the company noted that nearly 70% of online purchases are not completed because of security and UX issues, and that number leaps to as high as 97% for transactions initiated on mobile devices. “Challenging and time consuming authentication protocols continue to plague online customer interactions,” says George Brostoff, Co-founder and CEO of SensibleVision. “We built Autodentity to help online retailers leverage face-recognition as part of their security mix to minimize user frustration and capture the revenue opportunities that abandoned shopping carts represent.”
