Lithuanian biometric ID firm Ondato is expanding to the UK, naming London as the site of its new HQ.Ondato's move to the UK has been "undeterred by Brexit," said Liudas Kanapienis, founder and chief executive of Ondato.The company also plans to expand in Germany, France and Spain, after raising $2m (£1.46m) seed capital from Startup Wise Guys and OTB Ventures, Europe's largest venture capital firm investing in tech start-ups with a strong base in Central and Eastern Europe.The Lithuanian company will now be based in London's Canary Wharf district, using technology developed at its R&D centre in Vilnius. Ondato uses photo and live video identity verification, data monitoring, screening, due-diligence, risk scoring and case management on a unified platform to capture a biometric three-dimensional map of a person for user identification.
