GlobalPlatform, the organisation which standardises the management of applications on secure chip technology, has announced that Masktech has joined as an Observer Member.As an Observer Member, Masktech – an independent supplier of security-embedded chipsets, operating systems and related middleware for eID cards, travel documents and authentication solutions – will focus its initial attention on the work priorities of the GlobalPlatform Security Task Force. Priorities of this task force include actively contributing to industry efforts to streamline security certification and facilitating discussions regarding future security requirements across secure chip technology."Masktech is currently updating its security solutions portfolio to support common standard two-factor authentication and payment specifications," says Matthias Duensser, Masktech.
