Carmaker Fiat/Chrysler (FCA) has developed a minivan called Portal with numerous biometric security and personalisation features.The concept mini-van, which will be unveiled at CES in Las Vegas, will have face recognition and voice biometrics for what the automaker says is focused on millennialsThe biometrics will be “more than a tool — it's an integral part of their lives,” said the carmaker in a statement.The Portal has selfie cam; a group setting that takes all the rider's information and plans a trip accordingly; and a display for those sitting in the back that encourages them to post about their trip.The all-electric fwd Portal also boasts a 100-kWh battery good for 250 miles of battery powered travel and a DC fast charger that can reach 150 miles of electric range in less than 20 minutes.”There are more than 20 available technologies designed to engage, inform and connect the driver and passengers,” Chrysler said in a statement. “The Chrysler Portal concept provides an adaptable and upgradeable user experience that anticipates the needs and can evolve with lifestyle changes and technology advancements.”
