Morgan County License Commissioner's Office in Alabama has taken powers to overrule facial recognition rejections which were impacting residents wanting to renew their driver's licenses.Following complaints, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency gave the Commissioner the capability last month, reported the Decatur Daily. The change means the office means the complainants need no longer visit the state-wide driver examination office where workers had the authority to override the rejection.Commissioner Sharon Maxwell estimated to the newspaper that her office was sending 10 people a day to the state office because of facial recognition rejections.
