EyeLock makes appointments to target markets, segments

Iris authentication firm EyeLock has revealed that it is making three key appointments as part of its plans to target markets and industry segments.Mike Garibaldi takes over as SVP/GM of security solutions, Blaine Frederick as vice president of product management for Security Solutions and Marco Emrich as vice president of business Development for Latin America.”We are pleased to add Mike, Blaine and Marco to an already strong team,” said Jim Demitrieus, Chief Executive Officer of EyeLock. “Their talent, expertise and experience will help us execute our growth strategy and further improve upon our industry leading identity management and authentication solutions.”Garibaldi previously served as co-founder of i3 Solutions Group, a global independent information technology consulting company providing converged solutions to senior executive management.Meanwhile, prior to joining EyeLock, Blaine was Product Manager at STANLEY Security, a global division of Stanley Black & Decker.Prior to joining EyeLock, Marco served as Managing Partner of Strategic Business Alliance (SBA), a consulting firm that supports IT, manufacturing, agriculture and healthcare clients in entering and/or expanding into the United States, Latin America, China and Africa.In August, VOXX International Corporation announced that it has entered into a Definitive Agreement to purchase the assets, inclusive of all intellectual property, of EyeLock through an acquiring entity.In July, EyeLock revealed plans to partner with COMTEX, an electronic security solutions firm for a variety of governmental and industrial agencies in Latin America and Brazil.”COMTEX has deep relationships in the region and a world-class infrastructure that will enable EyeLock to expand its reach across Brazil and Latin America,” Anthony Antolino, EyeLock's chief marketing and business development officer, said at the time. “This strategic partnership makes EyeLock's technology available to government agencies, municipalities and companies large and small.”
