Module technology firm TRAIS America claims to have developed an integrated transparent touch fingerprint sensor that covers the entire screen of smartphones, tablets, notebooks, and monitors.Rather than using devoted “buttons” or cameras that include fingerprint readers, TRAIS wants to use a thin “sensor layer” with circuits that enable users to touch anywhere on screens for authentication. It added in a statement that that the TRAIS' design is a “world first” that will provide smart phone and touch monitor manufacturers “lower production costs and time” than traditional fingerprint sensors, due to easy assembly and mounting of the integrated module.”Based on TRAIS' cutting-edge technology, the TRAIS T-Sec feature offers multi-factor authentication biometrics security by recognizing the user's fingerprint on the touch screen to secure devices, applications, and payments.”
