Samsung has revealed that Samsung Pay will be expanding to Australia, Singapore and Brazil in the coming months, and that the mobile payment service will be linked to its Gear S2 smartwatches.Confirming the details through an official Twitter account, the South Korean tech giant said the geographic expansion would be completed in the next few months.Meanwhile, Gear S2 smartwatches will start supporting Samsung Pay in South Korea and the United States in early 2016.Unlike its Apple rival, Samsung Pay does not need NFC and is compatible with magnetic stripe card readers already in wide use among retailers.Expansion is also on the horizon for Apple Pay, however, with 60 US banks added in recent months and the service being launched in China in 2016.
