Sweden's Precise Biometrics has signed a strategic alliance with Taiwan's JP Sensor for licensing of the former's Precise BioMatch Embedded and Precise BioMatch Mobile software.In a statement, Precise Biometrics noted that JP Sensor is developing smart cards with integrated touch sensors, initially targeting Chinese banks.”This is an ideal application for our fingerprint authentication software Precise BioMatch Embedded. The agreement also includes our software Precise BioMatch Mobile, which further strengthens our position as the leading supplier of fingerprint technology software for mobile devices. We welcome JP Sensor as a partner and appreciate the trust they put in us by selecting our products”, said Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics.Earlier this week, PB announced that its Precise BioMatch Mobile had been deployed in the Chinese smartphone firm Qiku's latest flagship models.JP Sensor has said it is also developing various fingerprint authentication systems with integrated embedded CPUs targeting applications such as smart cards, safety boxes, door locks and suitcases.
