Norway's NEXT has reported a new milestone for its sensor shipments.The firms has announced it has shipped more than 5 million fingerprint sensors to-date to customers worldwide.”Shipping 5 million sensors has provided NEXT with invaluable experience from a quality, logistics and operations standpoint,” said Ritu Favre, CEO NEXT Biometrics. “At the same time, it gives our customers a high level of confidence to work with a supplier that has a proven track record of success delivering high-quality, advanced sensor technology and components globally.”It added that as NEXT continues to supply key customers in its core notebook market, the company is also quickly ramping activity to expedite the adoption of its unique large-area sensors in other priority markets.
