Creators of the digital yuan visual hard wallet have unveiled its innovative features for payments uses at the Shenzhen International Financial Expo, in particular contactless transactions, blockchain infrastructure and a unique identifier to trace payments.
It means the wallet will be thrust into consumers’ hands really soon, whilst compatible with merchants accepting payments through “tap-to-pay” and “tap-to-scan” interfaces, developed by Chinese banks and companies. These applications already support merchants without requiring extra hardware to be installed.
The wallet also displays all the payments information and secure technology ensures smooth transactions to the recipient.
