Mobile and cloud-based biometric identity management firm ImageWare Systems has been awarded patents in Canada and Australia for technology used in the company's multi-modal biometric ID and authorisation system.This technology is marketed by ImageWare as the IWS Biometric Engine. Imageware had also been previously awarded the patent on this technology in the United States.
