Biometric vendor ID R&D has announced the launch of its first product, a mobile biometric login solution.Called IDSquared, the solution offers mobile login through behavioural biometrics, facial recognition and liveness detection.Due to be launched at TechCrunch Disrupt in New York, the login product simply requires a user to simply type a word (login/username) into the mobile device for the multi-modal biometric login. This is the extent of the user experience. In a statement, the company said the idea of the product is based on a simple premise – that is to type something on a screen of a mobile device a user must look at it, thus exposing his/her face to the front looking camera for a picture and hence facial recognition (this is all done with the user's consent, of course).”This natural interface allows IDSquared to provide multi-factor (knowledge based and biometric) authentication, multi-modal (behavioral and facial recognition) biometrics verification and liveness detection through behavioral biometrics”.Of the company's launch, ID R&D CEO Alexey Khitrov said, “So far the biometric industry has struggled to combine the accuracy of multi factor / multi modal authentication with the simplicity of user experience. IDSquared bridges this gap. All we ask users to do is to type one word. That's it!”From the moment the user starts typing, IDSquared collects multiple data points for a multi-layered authentication analysis. This is a very exciting time for our company. We are launching our premier product at one of the biggest tech conferences in the world and looking forward to wondering and awing the participants. We have a unique offering and are proud to announce our science-driven authentication technology for mobile login and conversation interface.”The team behind this product invites anyone to connect with them at the event, on social media, or on phone to experience the product for yourself. If you are attending the event, you can find them in Startup Alley from 8:00am – 5:00pm on Tuesday, May 16.
