Fulcrum Biometrics solution secures child mental health facility

Biometric systems and devices integrator Fulcrum Biometrics has announced that Clarity Child Guidance Center is now using the Biodentify biometric authentication solution for secure system logins. Fulcrum Biometrics noted in a press release that as one of the nation's largest non-profit mental health treatment centers for children – with a staff of more than 150 healthcare professionals – Clarity needed a fast, easy and more secure way to log into their new electronic medical records (EMR) system.”Routinely people were getting locked out of our system, and unlocking user accounts and resetting passwords was one of the top categories that generated our help desk tickets,” said Chris Hooge, director of clinical informatics and technology at Clarity Child Guidance Center. “It took our IT organization about 15 minutes for every one of those lock-outs, including opening a ticket for each case, resetting passwords and documenting what was done.
