South Korean Korean fingerprint tech manufacturer CrucialTec plans to host a FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) Alliance interoperability test event in March.Around 25 executives and engineers from among FIDO members and non-members will take part in the event to be held from March 8-10 at the head office of the Korean fingerprint module-maker in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province.A CrucialTec official cited “the increased presence of Asian tech companies in the authentication sector” as a reason behind the first testing event in Asia.Last May, he Korea Internet and Security Agency has revealed that it is studying a Public Key Infrastructure that is compliant with FIDO Alliance online authentication standards for e-commerce and government services.
