Senior officials have confirmed that face recognition cameras will be installed at Prague's Václav Havel Airport. Minister of the Interior Milan Chovanec confirmed the plans to reporters this week.A camera security system with biometric face recognition software will be linked to a database operation by the National Security Unit, which is charged with identifying criminals. A 71 million CZK ($31m) order was approved by the government on Monday related to airport security systems.”It is not a panacea, but it could help,” Miroslav Mareš, an expert on organized crime, told Prague Morning.
