Biometric air clearance provider CLEAR has appointed new leadership figures as part of growth efforts.In a statement, CLEAR said it has added two hospitality industry veterans to the company's experienced leadership team.CLEAR uses fingerprints and iris images to confirm members' identities.Joining CLEAR are Kerry Held, Senior Vice President of Direct Sales and Corporate Partnerships, and Ben Feilen, Senior Vice President of Operations. Held, who previously worked as Director of Client Relations at Hospitality Quotient – the consulting arm of Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group – will oversee the sales, training and development teams while also negotiating corporate partnerships.Feilen brings over 20 years of operational experience to CLEAR. Most recently, he was responsible for overseeing OTG's airport businesses. Prior to that he spent several years at Starr Restaurants. At CLEAR he will be responsible for operations at the company's growing network of 21 airport locations and seven professional sports venues, with a focus on ensuring fast, predictable service every time a member uses CLEAR.”This has been a period of amazing growth for CLEAR,” said Chairman and CEO Caryn Seidman Becker. “Kerry and Ben add fantastic operational and hospitality experience to our team. They will play a critical role in our continued efforts to bring CLEAR members the best possible airport experience.” The new appointments follow a major national expansion by CLEAR into airports around the country over the last several months, including Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). In the coming weeks CLEAR will be opening at LAX, bringing its airport network to 22 locations.
