Indian iris recognition technology firm Biomatiques Identification Solutions has revealed that it is targeting a turnover of up to US$12-15 million this financial year thanks to a rise in sales.In a report by Business Standard, Biomatiques Identification Solutions staff said the company has seen trade worth around US$2.3 million in FC 2016.Tamaal Roy, CEO, Biomatiques, Identification Solutions, told the newspaper: “Since we started off our sales only after the launch which happened in March this year, we have done a business of around Rs 15 crore, wherein we have so far sold more than 40,000 units.”However we foresee an upward incline in the demand which could be around 35 to 40 lakh units in a year's time. In fact now we have to expand our production capacity considering the unprecedented growth in the market. Hence we are looking at a figure of around Rs 80 to 100 crore by the end of fiscal year.”In March, Biomatiques revealed that it had received Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification in India for an iris device.
