Visa processing firm VFS Global has announced the creation of a mobile app that will enable users to start or update visa applications from their smartphone or device.The app, which will be launched within the next seven weeks, will save applicants time, said staff from the company."With the launch of the new apps, customers will be able to initiate and complete their visa application process through handheld devices," said Vinay Malhotra, COO – South Asia and Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC).He said that VFS was "also focused on developing new-age, technology-driven solutions, such as mobile channels, e-visa solutions, mobile biometrics, and other online solutions. ߪ We aim to utilise digital technology to its maximum potential, ensuring it remains a key differentiator for us."VFS Global is currently the globe's largest outsourcing and technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide.While the new app will only be available on IoS or Android, there are plans to also develop a version for Windows and Blackberry users.
