A nightclub in the UK is piloting a new age verification app for entry called 1account.
Users can download the ‘1account’ app, put in your details and you can get into Tru Nightclub in Camberley until the end of June as part of a government trial.
The Home Office is trialling the plan as part of a wider scheme looking into alcohol sales in the UK.
Age verification technology in alcohol sales is part of a regulatory sandbox.
Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Aldi and Co-op are also taking part, using tech to approve sales of alcohol.
1account has also launched a vape vending machine, which will appear in grocery stores this spring.
