The UK government is developing a post-Brexit visa check app for EU citizens that would use selfies and ePassports, according to media reports. The BBC has reported today that the app would ask users answer three “simple” questions, take a “selfie” to be checked against Home Office records. If they have an Android phone, they can also scan the chip on their passport to verify their identity. However, Apple restrictions mean this wouldn't be an option for iPhone users. The Home Office says a decision will be made on whether they can stay in the UK within two weeks.
