TECH5, an innovator in biometrics and digital identity management, has announced its successful acquisition of Imageware, which will see a full integration of assets in biometric identification and authentication.
All property of Imageware, inclusive of contracts, software and intellectual technology, now belongs to TECH5’s portfolio.
TECH5 is a subsidiary of the TECH5 Group.
The statement acknowledged Imageware’s 36 years of trading as an independant vendor specialising in solutions for federal, law enforcement and public safety sectors, however the merge will consolidate their joint offering of state of-the-art biometric systems and help TECH5 calibrate to a US market.
TECH5 is looking to strengthen and expand its consolidation in North America by onboarding Imageware’s exceptional UI and accuracy-built technology and leveraging a global team of security experts.
TECH5 builds cutting edge NIST rated algorithms, state of-the-art biometric identification and authentication systems with more key IP than many companies in the identity space. The company said it will retain some visionaries from Imageware’s previous team structure and position services and support to its global customer base as the new owner of these assets.
Rob Haslam, TECH5’s Strategic Advisor commented on being a frontier of biometric system services, saying:
“This acquisition represents a strategic step for TECH5, strengthening its presence in North America, and bringing Imageware’s decades-long leadership to new geographies and new vertical markets via TECH5’s footprint”.
All staff including engineers, customer support, product management, sales and marketing, professional services, and administration will be kept on at the company under the new management.
Ultimately customers will be benefit from the combined expertise and technological excellence of these two companies.

Imageware’s technology and different patents will be used to model new technology products that maintain good standards of accuracy and functionality.
The statement continued to say that preparations to merge and strengthen the TECH5 business had been underway for the last 34 months with Imageware rebuilding their product portfolio.
