Human interface firm Synaptics has revealed that its Natural ID fingerprint solution features in the Flagship ASUS ZenPad.”We are thrilled about the newly launched ASUS ZenPad 3S 10. The security of Synaptics' fingerprint authentication solution along with the convenience of not having to type passwords is a key upgrade,” said Rangoon Chang, general manager, Mobile Computing Business Unit, ASUS.”Synaptics' Natural ID's one-touch fingerprint authentication solution delivers a high-performance and reliable user experience and industry-leading security features,” said Anthony Gioeli, vice president of marketing, Biometrics Product Division, Synaptics. “ASUS is an important customer and we very much look forward to the opportunity for further engagements.”The deployment follows the annoucement in October that TCL Communication had selected Synaptics Natural ID one-touch fingerprint sensors for their new flagship TCL 950 smartphones.The TCL 950, targeting the China market, features an OLED display and an all-glass backside where Synaptics' sensor is located, enabling users to unlock the phone, perform safe mobile transactions, and also operates as a shutter button for the camera.
