Swiss e-finance development firm Crealogix has launched a biometric ebanking solution that uses Apple's TouchID or Samsung's fingerprint sensor for authentication, saying that “every bank” can extend its services with the app.Fingerprint authentication now replaces the first step in which customers enter their username and password in the firm's CLX.PortalApp mobile banking app. Customers can use the biometric login to view accounts, validate payment instructions and make stock market orders, among other features.”This innovative new feature offers maximum comfort so our customers can do all their banking simply and securely on mobile devices. It is always our goal to enhance our products in line with the latest market changes,” said Thomas Avedik, CEO Crealogix E-Banking.Whle Crealogix is the first third-party firm to offer banks a TouchID and Samsung ready banking app, a number of banks in Europe and Asia are implementing the service on their mobile applications.For instance, in January Connecticut-based Webster Bank became the latest US financial institution to add support for Apple's Touch ID for its app. In December, American Express has added support for Touch ID in its latest iOS app, and several US banks including the Bank of America have announced that they are studying integration of the technology.
