Drivers in the Emirate of Sharjah will soon be able apply for their driving licence through a mobile app.The service is available on the Ministry of Interior's smartphone app, reported Gulf News.After new drivers clear the final road test, they can apply to obtain the driving licence through the application.The initiative aims to facilitate services to customers and enable them to complete their transactions through smart applications without approaching the traffic and licensing department."The public can avail of the service at all times regardless of their location or the time of day," a police official said.It is unclear when the service will be made available to other emirates in the UAE.
