South Korean tech giant Samsung plans to deploy fingerprint sensors on its budget models, reports local media.In a significant departure from past policy, Samsung would bring the biometric authentication that is available on its premium models to all its smartphones.An industry source told the Korea Herald that the challenge is finding a way to deal with the costs associated with the component in comparison to the selling price of a budget device.The deployment would likely boost adoption of Samsung Pay, the firm's biometrics enabled mobile payment system, which launched in August.
