Precise Biometrics has won a 975,000 SEK order of Tactivo from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) within the US Department of Defense.Precise Biometrics says: "DLA continues to invest in its mobility solution that provides secure email and browsing capabilities on iOS devices. The solution is based on the existing Common Access Card (CAC) infrastructure and adds to the overall usability of the long-standing smart card system. The order included Tactivo for iPhone 6 and has been placed through Precise Biometrics' partner Carahsoft.""The interest in Tactivo within the US Department of Defense continues to grow and we are pleased that DLA expands the number of Tactivo users," says Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics. "The solution increases employee flexibility and efficiency, while ensuring a high level of security by using two-factor authentication."Tactivo is a product portfolio of smart card readers for smartphones and tablets. Tactivo enables secure mobility for organisations using smart cards to log on to IT systems. It supports multiple card standards such as CAC and PIV.
