NEXT Biometrics has revealed team changes that the company says aims to to tighten up and strengthen NEXT's end-to-end product development. NEXT has named Dan Cronin (previously EVP of Engineering) Chief Operations Officer (a new position). He is charged with integrating product development and manufacturing into a seamless, cohesive unit in order to improve processes, streamline activities and more efficiently drive production of NEXT fingerprint sensor technology.NEXT is also bringing on a new hire, Ravi Jagganath as SVP Operations reporting to Dan to oversee quality, operations, planning, purchasing and logistics. Ravi joins NEXT from chip maker Cirrus Logic, where he served in a senior operations function. Earlier, he led and managed the global product validation team and program management team for NXP's automotive microcontroller business.In addition, Zehira Sitbon-Dadon, Chief of Staff and HR Officer, and SVP of Business Operations for NEXT, will be expanding her role to take on the Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) function that will enable NEXT to scale it's capabilities across multiple products, markets and customers.The focus on operations and execution comes as NEXT shipped its 4 millionth fingerprint sensor. The 4 million sensor milestone was achieved in late March, five months after the company shipped it's 3 millionth sensor.CEO Ritu Favre said: “I remain incredibly impressed with our core technical capabilities in this company as well as the biometric solutions expertise we've gleaned through our learning and experiences.
