Morocco is to restarting the issuance of eID cards to any Moroccan expatriate workers who had to return to the country due to COVID-19.Moroccans who work abroad need to renew ePassports to return to the countries they are working in, and for this they need eIDs, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has decreed, reports Moroccan World News.The DGSN statement said the identity card is a "basic and reference document in the procedure for renewing biometric passports that expired during the period when the Kingdom's border posts were closed" due to the COVID-19-induced emergency state.
