Madison-based firm SimplifIDe has raised $260,000 of funding to aid it in developing biometric solutions.The firm is targeting a total of $750,000 funding, according to a public filing reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.SimplifIDe Inc. – which formed in February, according to state records – raised the money from seven investors.The firm plans to offer face, finger, voice and iris recognition technology on a pay-as-you-go basis to help businesses protect themselves from hacking, it says on its LinkedIn page.The company plans to offer Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that eliminates the risk, complexity and cost of using biometric identification.Jeff McCallister, former president of North America and the United Kingdom for mobile payment provider Cellum Global, is the company's chief executive officer.
