A group of 11 Kuwaiti citizens have been arrested after they were found renting out silicone fingerprints for buddy punching to employees at the Ministry of Electricity and Water.Detectives who had learned about the forgery then launched an investigation, catching the forgers red-handed with the silicone prints.The suspects were renting these out to some 350 employees for 50 Kuwait dinar (US$165) per month each, reported the Kuwait Times.All those arrested were referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation and other legal measures.In 2013, a similar scam was uncovered when several Kuwaiti employees of ministries were found to be tricking fingerprint attendance devices with silicone fingerprints.
