ITW Security Division has added holographic embossing technology to its Fasver facility in Montpellier, France.According to the company, this has enabled it to create the world's only secure facility for the production of both holographic and printed security solutions for personal identification, other secure government documents, and military programmes. This move expands on the holographic production capabilities already in place in ITW Security Division's Covid facility in the US.By adding holographic embossing to the Fasver print facility, ITW Security Division says it has eliminated the security issues inherent in the transfer of sensitive materials from one location to another, ensuring a truly secure chain of custody from art concept to completed laminate. The Fasver facility now produces Covid holographic laminates and labels; Fasver printed laminates, labels and polycarbonate solutions; and laminates that incorporate both technologies. The company says the ability to emboss in both its US and European secure facilities affords ITW Security Division the ability to serve more customers globally during peak times of business and to produce products closer to end-customers' locations.
