IDEX Biometrics, a provider of advanced fingerprint identification and authentication solutions, has appointed Stephen Skaggs to its Board of Directors.Mr. Skaggs has more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including serving as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Lattice Semiconductor, a supplier of programmable logic devices and related software. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Atmel Corporation, a leading supplier of microcontrollers, prior to its acquisition by Microchip Technology Incorporated. Early in his career, he worked for Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm, where he specialized in high tech product strategy, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.Mr. Skaggs holds an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School and a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.Morten Opstad, Chairman of IDEX Biometrics: “We are delighted to have someone of Stephen's vast financial and operational experience joining the IDEX board.
