HSBC plans to roll out fingerprint access to its app for Hong kong account early next month.Anyone using the iPhone 5s or above can sign in with a fingerprint sensor to do their banking, reported The Standard.The bank promises an Android version of the system in the near future.Greg Hingston, head of retail banking and wealth management of Hong Kong at HSBC, said HSBC is the first bank to offer “both Mobile Security Key and Touch ID, a simple, secure and one- touch authentication” for mobile banking customers.The former creates a digital version of “the physical Security Device” used previously and stores it on a smartphone, allowing access to both Personal Internet Banking and Mobile Banking.
