Fingerprint Cards has revealed that Chinese smartphone maker Yulong's new model features a FPC touch fingerprint sensor.Android phone the Coolpad Tiptop Pro features FPC's touch fingerprint sensor FPC1025.The order value of this phone launch was included in FPC's communicated revenue guidance of more than 1,500 MSEK (US$179 million) for 2015, which it revealed earlier this week.Jörgen Lantto, acting President and Chief Executive Officer of FPC, comments: “Yulong is a leading smartphone manufacturer in China and we are proud that Yulong selected FPC1025 for its first smartphone with a touch fingerprint sensor. FPC1025 supports 360 degree finger rotation capability, fast response time and industry leading 3D image quality.”The phone is listed on Coolpad's website for a price of 1,799 yuan (US$289). It comes with Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 2GB RAM and 8GB storage. There will be a 5.5-inch 720p screen on the front. The rear camera will be of 13MP while the front shooter of 5MP. It will support 4G LTE networks and will run on a customized version of Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS.On Wednesday, Precise Biometrics also revealed that its product for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile, was through cooperation with Fingerprint Cards (FPC) also used in the smartphone.”Precise BioMatch Mobile enables convenient and secure fingerprint recognition for smartphones.
