French forensic experts have used fingerprint analysis to confirm that the alleged ringleader of last Friday's Paris attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, was killed in a raid by police on Wednesday.A prosecutor said he was identified based a comparison of fingerprints found at the scene.Papillary prints – which include prints from fingers, palms and soles – led officials to identify the remains of the suspected ringleader.Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said advance fingerprint analysis techniques were used to identify Abaaoud's body, which was found riddled with bullets in the rubble of the shattered building in Saint-Denis following a seven-hour police siege.Earlier this week, a Greek police source said French authorities had asked other countries in Europe to check on the biometric details of a Syrian passport that was found near the body of an assailant in Friday night's terror assault in Paris. On Sunday, the Paris prosecutor said that another attacker, Omar Ismael Mostefai, a 29-year-old Frenchman of Algerian origin, was identified by fingerprints on a finger found at the scene of the attacks.
