Social media giant Facebook has released a face recognition tool linked to its messenger app that organisers user photos to the wider world – apart from Canada and the EU.The Photo Magic face recognition tool scan through smartphone camera rolls and recommend photos to send to your friends. If users choose to turn on the feature after seeing the prompt alerting them that they have access to it, Photo Magic will scan their devices' camera rolls for photos that include friends, and then suggest that they send those photos to friends who are included in the images. If users opt to do so, Photo Magic sends the photos as part of a group thread to everyone included in the images.Although previously available in Australia, the tool has been prevented from launch in Canada and the EU due to concerns over privacy laws.
