Entrust Datacard has joined the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) – the organisation dedicated to accelerating the adoption of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Entrust Datacard says it contributes to IIC's member base as a pure play security leader in the IIoT space. As an IIC member, it will partner with industry players and Internet of Things (IoT) innovators to offer education and insights to fellow members.Entrust Datacard says it is currently participating in several IIoT test beds to further innovation in this space. It adds that IIC members can look forward to early access to advancements such as the Entrust Datacard ioTrust Security Solution. Launched in July, the Entrust Datacard ioTrust Security Solution is designed to deliver a secure and trusted software infrastructure that safeguards data between devices, sensors, and backend platforms connected within an IoT ecosystem."The IIC has made great strides in accelerating the adoption of IoT and driving business outcomes for industrial applications," says Josh Jabs, vice president, Office of the CTO and general manager, IoT Solutions at Entrust Datacard.
