The organisers of next-generation identity technology event connect:ID 2017 have revealed that Kevin McAleenan, the Acting Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), will the opening keynote speaker at the much-anticipated show.The Commissioner will address "CBP's commitment to innovation: Revolutionizing border security through technology," as connect:ID 2017 launches on May 1 at Walter E Washington Convention Center.McAleenan has been the Acting Commissioner of CBP since January 2017, and was nominated by President Trump to head the agency at the end of March.
