Starting from 1 September 2021, Belarusian citizens are able to receive new biometric identity documents – ePassport and eID card.
The Republic of Belarus will be issuing ePassports and eID cards to its citizens from the beginning of September. The complete citizen identity electronic document system, including collection, processing and storing of biometric and other personal data, de-duplication check, data validation, eID document personalization, digital signature of stored data and issuance of biometric documents, was successfully delivered to Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus by a consortium led by Emperor Technology (EmpTech), a world leading secure ID solution and service provider.
