South Korean biometrics firm Suprema has announced that its biometric solution will be integrated with an advanced distributed physical security information management system developed by surveillance and security solutions firm Axxon.The partnership will see Axxon's “Intellect” physical security management (PSIM) software joined with Suprema biometric technology.While the PSIM platform combines intelligent video analytics, universal IP connectivity and event-driven automation, Suprema offers biometric access control devices such as the BioEntry Plus, which combines fingerprint and proximity card security.The companies say that the integrations of the tech and various algorithms will result in improved access control in high-traffic environments, with RFID devices that specialize in outdoor installation and Time and Attendance functionalities also integrated to provide a wide range of solutions.In April, Suprema also unveiled plans to create an advanced identity management solution for biometric access with Genetec, a manufacturer of open platform, unified IP security solutions.
