Algerian officials have confirmed that issuing of the country's first biometric ID card will startin June.Abderezzak Henni, the general director of the modernization, documentation and archives department at the Ministry of the Interior and Local Authorities, confirmed the news to local media on Wednesday.Henni added that the document will be issued from a national biometric center currently being built in the in the province of Laghouat.Speaking in February, Henni said the card will positively impact public service and spare citizens from traveling to remote administrative structures.
