The Division of Motor Vehicles in Wisconsin has revealed a new driving licence design with a range of new security features.The new licence features a laser-engraved black and white photo, along with raised lettering, reported the Wisconsin Radio Network.Each card's photo will be integrated with the card, not applied in layers as is currently the case. DMV leaders say that generating the image in black and white will help those looking at the card to focus on key facial features "without the distraction or distortion of colour".Driver's services bureau director Ann Perry told the network that the new licence cards are printed on a new type of poly-carbonate material.The stiffer cards have UV artistic renditions of the Wisconsin State Capitol building and Wisconsin flag.In the fall of 2015, DMV will begin rolling out the new card in a cascading fashion. By November 2015, all DL/ID licenses will be in the new format.Perry says will make the state's cards the "most secure in North America."
