Germany-based Veridos is set to get the job of introducing ePassports in Bangladesh for the first time, according to local media.The cabinet committee on economic affairs yesterday approved a home ministry proposal for awarding the job, reported The Daily Star.A cabinet division official said the German company would provide technical and technological cooperation.A memorandum of understanding was signed on an Passport implementation project, an upgrade from the current machine readable passports, during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's visit to Germany last year.
