Britain's Lloyds and Halifax banks have added support for Apple's biometrics-backed mobile payment system.Although the banks haven't made an official announcement regarding Apple Pay, customers have begun using the service and Visa confirmed the news in a Tweet.The banks join members like American Express, First Direct, HSBC, Halifax, Lloyds, NatWest, NationWide, MBNA, Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander, and Ulster, who all joined on its launch in mid-July.On 1 September, the UK spending limit for contactless and Apple Pay transactions was raised from £20 to £30.
