Canadian bank Tangerine has revealed a new app which introduces eye-print and voice biometrics as new levels of authentication.The bank's new app features eye-print technology developed by EyeVerify, Eyeprint ID, and voice authentication from Nuance called VocalPassword.”Creating a secure, simple, top-notch experience for our Clients is always our first priority when creating a new app.” says Charaka Kithulegoda, Chief Information Officer at Tangerine.”We've made the entire experience of using our Mobile Banking App simpler by bringing the seamless functionality of Secure Chat to mobile and allowing Clients to enter the app by scanning their eyes with Eyeprint ID or authenticating through voice with VocalPassword.”Tangerine was also the first bank in the country to introduce fingerprint recognition using Touch ID on Apple devices, in 2014.
