The Swedish lottery operator Svenska Spel has selected Safran Identity & Security's ELITE for the renewal of its lottery terminals.Svenska Spel has agreed to acquire 3,000 lottery terminals including middleware application, a download server and associated services.Under the terms of the contract Safran Identity & Security will deliver its latest ELITE lottery terminal, using imaging technology (camera). The ELITE terminal includes enhanced services such as the authentication of ID documents and retailers through fingerprint recognition. The middleware supplied with these terminals as well as the download server will be developed in partnership with Lotsys, a subsidiary of the French lottery operator, la Française des Jeux."We are honoured by this latest mark of trust from Svenska Spel," said Samuel Fringant, EVP, Security Division, Safran Identity & Security.
