Swedish fingerprint-focused hardware and software firm Precise Biometrics has reported in its annual report that sales increased from SEK 31.4 million (US$3.86 million) in 2014 to SEK 56.3 million (US$6.93 million) this year.An operating profit at EBITDA level of SEK 0.5 million (-31.7) was achieved for the full year 2015, with its fingerprint technology business segment accounting for the largest share of sales, at SEK 42.6 million (US$5.24 million).”We have established the company as the leading supplier of fingerprint software for the mobile market. The company is stronger than ever and is well positioned for continued growth in the areas of both Fingerprint Technology and Mobile Smart Card Solutions,” said CEO Håkan Persson in a company statement.”The trend in 2015 reflects strong sequential growth in both net sales and profit, which resulted in Precise Biometrics reporting an operating profit at EBITDA level for the full year. It is very pleasing that all the efforts we have made over the last two years are now bearing fruit.” Earlier this month, Precise Biometrics reported that it had through a channel partner, been awarded a framework agreement for Tactivo from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) within the US Department of Defense. The contract value is a minimum of $120 000 to a maximum of $3 100 000 over a base period of one year with another two optional years.
