“Our goal is to protect children”
Poland’s Prime Minister has come out supporting a ban of “addictive” mobile phones in primary schools, which are causing serious consequences for the development of young people’s brains.
The proposed ban would come into effect at the next school year on September 1.
In separate legislation, which must be passed through Parliament, the Cabinet also intends to introduce a set of age verification measures that adult pornography sites must adhere to.
Under ongoing online safety measures, the age verification tools should be advanced enough to identify an adult from a child at the point of authentication.
